Farm Olympics
Silent Auction

Blessing of the Animals
The Blessing of the Animals is held every
year on the third Sunday of September at
1:30 PM, rain or shine. In the tradition of
St. Francis of Assisi, the public is invited
to bring their pets of all sizes to a special
service and blessing. This event is free of
charge. As a safety precaution, please
have all pet and/or livestock on a lead,
leash or in a carrier, cage or container.

Farm Olympics
After the services, stay for the fun! Join in
the Farm Olympics, compete in events like
Pet/Owner look-alike. Pet Costume, child
or spouse calling, bale tossing or egg
tossing. We even have a chicken in every
pot event, where participants compete to
toss the most rubber chickens in a stew
pot. Entry fee is $5.00 per class. First
place trophy and ribbons to third place are
awarded. All funds raised in the Farm
Olympics go for the operation and
maintenance of our therapy animals and
the Farm, keeping our grounds
handicapped accessible.

Consider sponsoring one or more competitive classes. For a donation
of $50.00 per class you or your company will be advertised in our
Farm Olympics program. For details, contact Nancy at (231) 462-3732.

Silent Auction
Our Silent Auction has great items donated by
individuals and local businesses. In a silent
auction,you write your bid down on the item's
sheet of paperand check back often as not to
be out bid. Winnersmust be present to claim
their items. All winning bidsmust be paid before leaving. Proceeds of
the Silent Auction go to maintenance and operation of the Children's
Farm.

All donations for the Silent Auction must be received before July 30,
to be listed on our event program. Please call Nancy for more
